A child shares how his life has changed because of the love of many.

“I hope I can be friends with Aunty Lorraine, Aunty Grace and Uncle Ming Yaw forever! I am happy that I am not lonely anymore!”

Caleb is 9 years old and he lives with his foster parents Joseph, Li Ping and their family. While he enjoys the big company at home, what brings him even more joy are the friends that he has made in church.

Caleb shares excitedly how Aunty Lorraine picks him up from school and takes him out for lunch. Aunty Grace meets him for play therapy and Uncle Ming Yaw invites him for sleepovers with his children!

We often hear that it takes a village to raise a child and really, that applies to caring for a foster child too.

When Lorraine, Grace and Ming Yaw heard that Joseph and Li Ping were fostering a child, they decided to come alongside in whatever ways they could. Little did they know, their small actions would make a big difference.

Hear from Caleb how his life has changed because of the love of many.

You saw it as a cause worth fighting for
It didn’t matter where they came from
What mattered was where they were headed to
The children had no home to go and so you said come
And because your stepped out of your way
They could finally find theirs.

To all Foster Mums, we honour you!

Show your love and celebrate a Foster Mum this Mother’s Day. DM us a short story about her and we will send her a surprise Mother’s Day gift over this weekend! ❤️

Giving a child the gift of family.

“When I first entered the Children’s Home, I was really hopeful of getting a family who can love me. But after praying for 3 years… I just gave up all hope of being fostered.”

Over the years, nobody chose Jane. She was convinced her chance was over and had given up hope on having a family. But when Jason and Irene decided to foster her, she realised that she was not forgotten. God was answering her deepest wish and she may finally have a safe, stable and loving environment to grow up in.

Find out what happened to Jane. Did she stay on with them? Did she get along with Jason and Irene’s children? How did fostering Jane affect Jason and Irene’s own family?

How fostering impacts our children.

Many families are worried that their own children will feel neglected if they foster a child.

While this concern should not be ignored, fostering has also proven to enrich families. Like Jerome in the short film, many children grow to build strong and meaningful bonds with their foster sibling. They also mature to be kinder as they learn to share the privilege of having a home.

According to MSF, there are about 600 vulnerable children hoping to receive foster care. Will you consider opening your home to a child-in-need?

100 Homes is an initiative by the LoveSingapore network of churches to raise 100 more Christian foster families. Help us spread this message so that more children could receive the love and care of a safe family environment.

Saying the things that matter, to the ones who matter most.

We rarely say the things that matter, to the ones who matter the most.

If you struggled with a difficult pregnancy
If you are a single mum doing your best to make ends meet
If you are a mum raising a child with special needs
On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate and honour you.

Thank you for giving so much even when you had so little
Thank you for appearing strong even when you were weak
Thank you for choosing us even when we didn’t choose you.

Ma, Mum, Mama, Mummy
You are beautiful both inside and out
You are so much more than you give yourself credit for.

We hope you know that you are seen
We hope you know that you are loved
You are the Mum we want to be some day.

Happy Mothers Day ❤࿠f;

How a foster family experienced God's love.

When Edwin & Soo became foster parents to Eileen (not her real name), they faced many unexpected challenges. It took such a toll on the family that they wondered if they had made the right decision to start this fostering relationship.

But they soon realised that the struggle of foster care wasn’t the whole story. Because as intense as the challenges were, the joy was intense too.

Watch how one family’s perseverance brought hope, healing and breakthrough not just to their foster child but also to themselves.

Fostered from birth yet beautifully loved by 2 families.

While most newborn babies go from hospital to home, Baby Kaela had a different story.

Kaela was fostered out the same day she was born. Her biological family couldn’t care for her and given their circumstances, fostering would be the best care plan they could hope.

Her grandmother cried out to God with a desperate plea, that He would find a loving family for her granddaughter. But could a stranger ever love her granddaughter as if she was their own child?

Find out how one family changed the life of a child and be inspired on how you can make a difference too.
